Project RESCUE

Project RESCUE

The Purpose of Project RESCUE
To understand how low‑carbon aircraft can:
- Deliver urgent medical supplies (blood, pathology samples, medicines)
- Support search and rescue operations
- Provide rapid response to coastal incidents
- Strengthen resilience for isolated or hard‑to‑reach communities
- Reduce reliance on carbon‑intensive helicopters or long road journeys
- Operate safely in maritime environments

The South West has:
- Long, complex coastlines
- Dispersed rural and island communities
- Weather‑dependent transport routes
- High demand for emergency mobility (NHS, MCA, Coastguard, RNLI)
- A growing clean‑aviation innovation cluster

Project RESCUE is designed to test whether zero‑emission aircraft can fill critical gaps in emergency logistics and response.
