The South West Future Flight Innovation Zone hosted a Drone Ecosystem Engagement Workshop on Friday 23rd, bringing together manufacturers, service providers, users, and sector specialists from across the region. The session explored the potential creation of a South West Drone Special Interest Group, with participants offering valuable insights into customer and industry needs, membership models, regional scope, operating approaches, and infrastructure requirements.
Attendees responded positively to the concept, highlighting the South West’s strong capabilities and significant opportunities for investment, job creation, and market growth enabled by drone technologies and services. The contributions gathered during the workshop will now inform the future strategy of the SW FFIZ, with a summary of outcomes to be shared in the Spring.

Please find links below to the presentation that was provided together with pitch material provided by some of those Organisations that attended.
